Welcome to another awesome essential oil recipe collection!

First up you are either excited for these recipes or you are scratching your head thinking what is this woman talking about?!

Well a roller bottle is a place to keep a liquid mix of a blend you made of oils! We usually dilute these oils with a carrier so a roller bottle is the perfect place to keep them. Not to mention it’s way easier to apply too!

Disclaimer: (Cause you know I got to put it here!) I am not a medical professional, I do not and cannot diagnose anything. Use these recipes as they suit you and your family. People with sensitive skin are advised to use a higher dilution ratio. The below recipes are intended foradults unless specifically stated for children. When using Essential oils on children please consult the proper reference materials.

The below information was first shared in my facebook class!

How to Apply and Remove Young Living Roller Fitments

Some of the oils you are able to apply neat (meaning without dilution) and you can snap on the metal roller straight onto the essential oil bottle.I personally only use Lavender neat as I am generally sensitive to essential oils so I do dilute others.

Always use a glass roller bottle for essential oils! A metal ball is recommended with citrus oils because they eat the plastic! Young Living provides us one in our starter kit.

I loved this video on how to change the rollers:

Let’s talk carrier oils! Do you have a favorite?

A few I have heard of work very well are:

  • fractionated coconut oil – coconut oil broken down to remain liquid and last longer
  • sweet / almond oil
  • grape seed oil
  • young livings V6 carrier oil which is a mix of various carriers

Olive oil does not work well becauseit is thick and as such does not apply very well via a roller bottle.

Did you know?
Essential Oils if stored correctly will last indefinitely. BUT once you mix them with a carrier oil in your roller bottle they take on the expiry date of the carrier oil.

Also, I color code my roller bottles!
